| Due to popular interest expressed by our players, Holdem Northwest Poker Productions has arranged a series of classes designed to expose players to proper, professional dealing techniques. Marty, a Holdem Northwest player, experienced teacher and professional dealer, will conduct a series of two-and-a-half-hour classes that will teach players the professional dealer techniques, rules and mechanics involved in shuffling, dealing and directing a table of Texas Holdem’. Players wishing to participate in the class must register with Sam or Darby, (darby@holdemnw.com), or through a director. Course fees are $15.00 per student, payable in advance. 100% of the fees go to the instructor. Holdem Northwest Poker Productions would like to thank Marty for making himself available for this feature, and the players who have expressed such an enthusiastic interest in the program. Similar classes will continue on various nights and at various locations. A number of players who have completed this class have successfully pursued employment as dealers at poker events in the area. Virtually all of the players who take the class experience a marked improvement in their play. All Holdem Northwest Directors have taken the Dealer School. Players who successfully complete this course, and who demonstrate an ability to appropriately manage a table, and who are willing, from time to time, to act as Dedicated Dealer, will receive a customized Qualified Dealer card weight. |
